Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)Rheumatoid Arthritis, or RA, is a chronic systemic inflammatory disorder that attacks joints and cartilage in the hands, feet, cervical spine, shoulders and knees. RA can also cause inflammation of the lungs, pericardiym, pleura, sclera, and the skin. RA can have an onset in people age 40-50, and is a painful condition that can lead to a decrease in mobility and difficulty with daily functioning.
