Post Herpetic Neuralgia

Post herpetic neuralgia is a side effect of shingles, or herpes zoster. This complication can last from one month, to several months, to years. The condition presents as pain, headaches, and nerve issues, often on the forehead and chest. Post herpetic neuralgia is mostly likely to occur in shingles patients over the age of 50 who have severe pain and rashes.

Possible symptoms of post herpetic neuralgia include:

• Difficulty Eating
• Difficulty Sleeping
• Difficulty Performing Daily Tasks
• Depression
• Severe Pain
