Osteopenia & Osteoporosis

Osteopenia and osteoporosis are degenerative conditions of the bones that often result in decreased mobility. Osteopenia is generally considered the first step along the road to osteoporosis, a serious condition in which bone density is extremely low and bones are porous and prone to shatter. Factors that often contribute to osteopenia and osteoporosis are hormonal disorders, chronic disease, medications, and steroids.

Possible symptoms of osteopenia and osteoporosis may include:

• Increased Risk of Falling
• Increased Risk of Fracture
• Loss of Height
• Nerve Compression
• Reduced Bone Mineral Density
• Reduction of Mobility
• Shooting Pain
• Stooped Posture
