Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s Disease, also known as Senile Dementia of the Alzheimer Type (SDAT), is a degenerative disease that is the most common form of dementia. Although often diagnosed in people over 65 years old, early-onset Alzheimer’s can occur in younger patients. A diagnosis may be made through a series of behavioral assessments, cognitive tests and brain scans.

Possible symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease may include:

• Aggression
• Confusion
• Gradual Loss of Bodily Functions
• Irritability
• Language Breakdown
• Memory Loss
• Mood Swings
• Withdrawal
